Hey Guys

Listen a few questions ive been worried about ,

I was in Canada literally 2 weeks ago and i stayed for 3 months with a lot of family going through different parts of Canada and staying with each relative , i happened to start dating a girl which is a Canadian ;D so , While in Canada i booked another ticket which is one way back to Canada to revisit my girlfirend because its all i had at the time finiacially thus getting me more time with cousins that i never seen and cousins i never seen enough of aswell as spending time with her.

i know im allowed to stay in Canada for 6 months at a time but im worried that the immigration will refuse me entry because i already stayed for 3 months 2 weeks ago, my fear is that they'll think im working which im not but i booked a one way this time simply because im not sure if ill stay 2 weeks or 6 months , and as i am a uk citizen the flights are sky high for flights back. so again i will buy a return home from Canada.

What are my options as i think i will end up appyling for a visa or become a citzen. will boarder patrol give me a hard time ? normally they stamp passports but my last visit i got nothing?

Thanks in advanced guys all opinions are respected an thanked very much

Cheers

B

My Husband and I were just recently married but have been together 13 yrs and have 2 children together. I crossed the US/Canadian borders 4 to 6 times a months for years with several red-flags on my passport as well, I had to go into immigration a lot and explain what my visit was for etc... the main thing is proving your going home, ties to your home country, the return ticket is the biggest proof that you intend to leave.

You are allowed 6 months when the IO grants 6 months most of the time that is what is given but, since you are returning rather quickly they may ask a lot more questions... there have been several people on this site from UK saying they are only given a month or 2.

Once you are here you can always apply for an extension for your visitors visa before deciding how your going to proceed from there...

thank you very much for that response , im gonna take what you said on board.

I was just worried about them stopping me because i am coming back so quickly , but i genuienly had a great time that i wanted to extend my visit and it wasnt possilbe without funds i had left there, i have several family members over there that could sponsor me let alone my Girlfriend. so i feel that im pretty safe that way my main concern is when they stop me they think that i am going to work when im not , i want to see family and her and thats simply it

If I'm not mistaken only your mother or father can sponsor you.... theres a lot of strings for aunts and uncles etc... like you being orphaned them having no children of their own of etc... of course your girlfriend can once you have established what it is you want to do.

I was told that an uncle can sponsor you, if he can prove he can look after your costs and general welfare.

As far as my GF , we are in love and we most likely will prob get married in the near future as we have discussed this, it will not be a marriage of convenience as both of us only want to endure this once ... lol

But in short i went on holiday and fell in love i just hope they let me through
