Hi All.

The love of my life is coming from SA to Canada next year. Im a Canadian Citizen and moved from SA 3 months ago with my two girls. After much research it seems that a visitors visa would be the easiest and safest option for him to gain entry.

Saying that we have full intentions if getting married and applying for inland spousal sponsorship and work permit straight away. Is it best to keep the conversation at boarder control just to 'visiting'. Do not want to be dishonest but also do not want him to be denied entry.

If you are asked you should be honest but wouldn’t volunteer the information. He is also arriving as a visitor and must also pack as a visitor.

marriage by convenience? not an easy way out. coming to.canada as a.visitor is not easy as well as he has to convince tha visa officer that he honors his promise to go back to his country before his TRV expires.

Why do you think this is a marriage of convenience?

Does remind me that your future spouse should arrive with a return ticket that can be cancelled.
