I am planning to visit Canada in 2020.I am 42 years old and have a daughter aged 10.We are planning for a few months visit during her vacation.I am not fully sure of the requirements for applying for a visit visa.I have travelled to US,Paris,China, Australia and other countries but unfortunately I lost that passport and applied for a new one.In the new passport I have a China visa stamped. But I do have a few photostats of my old passport.I do have photos too to prove my visit.I have two current accounts functioning for the last 5 years and can give the bank statements too and am the Director of two companies in which one company has GST.But the fact is that I only have the power of my dad's land. Its not legally in my name but just the power. Is that and all the above documents enough to apply for a visa. What other documents did I miss? Can someone please help me in this.

>>You need the entry and exit stamps of your passport for the past 10 years as proof of travel history. On the Letter of Explanation (like a cover letter) you can state there that you lost your old passport and will just provide pictures of the countries you've been to instead.
I have two current accounts functioning for the last 5 years and can give the bank statements too and am the Director of two companies in which one company has GST. But the fact is that I only have the power of my dad's land. Its not legally in my name but just the power. Is that and all the above documents enough to apply for a visa.
>> For assets, you can provide bank statements for the past 4 months, an employment certificate, tax declarations, land titles and etc. Again on the
Letter of Explanation (like a cover letter) mention that you manage your dad's estate but the title is not yet named after you.
The only drawback is the visa officers assesses your assets, you are not a minor so your dads properties has no impact on the application as it is not technically yours.
What other documents did I miss? Can someone please help me in this.
See link about visitor visa https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...services/visit-canada/about-visitor-visa.html to give you an idea.
If you apply online and upon finishing the eligibility questions, categories where you need to attach your files will be displayed (Travel History, Proof of Means of Financial Support and etc..). A question mark (?) icon is displayed per category and when you hover the mouse on it you will see the document you can attach.
Example for
>>Proof of Means of Financial Support
Bank statements for the past 4 months, an employment certificate, tax declarations, land titles
>>Travel History
Passport for the past 10 years (old/new), Visas (expired/active), Work/Student Permits, Entry and Exit Stamps, Boarding Pass[/QUOTE]

Thank you kat3onah.Will my dad's WILL be enough?
I have no idea. No harm if you attach it.
To secure a visa you must have a valid purpose, strong ties (assets, job, family that will take you back to your home country) and financial capability.

so i have applied for a tourist visa like thrice and am been rejected i submitted my alc statement, land asssets, cars proof of ownership, medical, police report, marriage certificate, child birth certificate, purpose of trip,my company registration certificate and still yet am been declined why

Upon rejection a refusal letter will be given. You'll have an idea why you were refused a visa. Other option is to get the CAIPS notes, you'll be able to see the notes of the Visa Officer who assessed you.

okay thanks so if get the CAIPS notes what do i do with the notes
You'll see why the Visa Officer rejected your application.
Did you not do anything about your previous refusals? Common mistake is trying to re-apply a TRV but not addressing what was indicated on the refusal letter.

yeah i was told to prove to them that i would come back i did but was rejected now a friend of mine who is a police officer want to apply too but don't know what to do and their requirement i just can't help because am a victim of denial so can you help me out with their requirement so that i can use it to add to my own and he too can use it to apply i'll be grateful if you can help me out on that

Where are you from? What is the purpose of your visit? Are you working full-time? What is you approximate monthly salary? Is it comparable to a Canadian salary? Your refusals would have indicated areas of concern.

am from nigeria and i wanted to go and check it out before coming back and to know if i can move with my family and my salary for a month is 1300usd
