What happens if I applied to a visitor's visa and my application is still being processed and I get another job? Will that affect my application, when should I notify the officers about the change?

Hi Jalex, thank you for answering my question. Excuse my insistence, but how do you know this? You see, I plan to visit as a visitor but in some years I plan to move to Canada and I don't want to do anything that can affect my record with them. So I'm worrying about notifying them and getting the visa denied because of it and also not notifying it and then having my immigration application denied because of that issue.

I'd really appreciate if you could explain it a little to me, I've tried to get information but it seems impossible to get anywhere.

They are separate procedures and they don't affect each other.

You can't get it because it doesn't exist. You are worrying about something that doesn't exist.


Your application has to be accurate to the date it was submitted, what happens after that is of no interest to CIC. CIC wants a record of your moves, evidence that in THE LONG TERM you are to be trusted. Changing of jobs after the submission was made is quite irrelevant when it comes to evaluate the long term.
