Hi,

i just wanted to check if anyone had same case like mine, i have a valid visa for CA and due to COVID19 restrictions I applied for Travel authorization from UAE embassy to reunite with my immediate family members ( Canadian Daughter) in Canada.
However the Embassy directly cancelled my visa and opened my application again for continued review.

Did anyone face something similar in Past, if yes can we appeal or reapply.

Thanks and Best Regards
Asad

I don't think we've seen someone's visa canceled yet.

However traveling to visit your daughter is not classified as essential travel (even though she is Canadian). Right now travel is banned for all but essential reasons. We have seen others in your situation try to travel and either be denied boarding or sent back home once they arrived in Canada (i.e. refused entry to Canada).

Has your situation changed in UAE like a job loss? What is your citizenship? There may be concern that you want to remain in Canada longterm.
