Greetings,
I am an international master student in one of the universities in North Cyprus(Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus). I am originally from Ghana.
I have been invited by my uncle who is a Canadian citizen. Please how can I obtained a Canadian visa?

Check all the document you need. Also to be approved, send your Cyprus immigration status such as enrolment letter from your to show you are still an active student there and current student visa copy.

Thanks for your reply. I notice that Canada does not recognized North Cyprus as a sovereign state. As such, I can't find north Cyprus on the visa application form(section, country of residence) what should I do?

As a masters student not living in your own country you have a very small chance of getting a visitor visa. Do you have the savings to pay for your own visit without exhausting your savings. Something above 10K would be best. Given that you are in Cyprus it is extremely hard to prove strong ties to your home country. What is the purpose of your visit. It would really be best to apply after you graduated, are working and have more ties to your home country or at least the country where you are living plus savings.

I thought this person is applying just to visit his uncle then come back. You can get visa if you prove you are currently enrolled in school and on break. But I agree with you it will be hard if the main reason is to just settled in Canada.

It is actually quite hard for young professionals or post secondary students to get visa to visit.

That's interesting. I have seen most people who got it while they are currently on F1 visa. I guess it is different from students in the United States.

actually a lot of people still do get rejected even for the united states. and usa also works with canada to "detect" and "deter suspicious" person with ill intents from arriving in their countries lol

That's interesting. I thought as long as you proof your status in school and show the VO you are active, you will get it. I am planning to cancel my F1 visa since I have study permt and apply for US B1 visa to visit all states.

Well, I have been working under the Ministry of Education in my home country for the past 10 years. I am married with two kids back home. I have assets; cocoa and palm plantations that generate approximately 2545US$ annually.I have a plot of land. A job that pays a salary of 408US$ a month.
Also, my uncle will be the one to take charged of my entire trip(air ticket and accommodation and feeding).

I am at the first semester of my last year of studies and faculty is willing to issued a letter to prove am active in school and released of my courses and results.
