Hi everyone, i got my visitor visa basis my travel intentions in this month and a letter of invitation from my friend in toronto. I had provided my flights to toronto. So because i got my self injured i am not fit to travel right now as per my intentions provided for visa.my letter of invitation was provided by my friend who resides in toronto. Now i have booked my tickets in Jan 2019 but i have booked my tickets to and fro from montreal as i want to stay a longer in montreal. Can i arrive in montreal airport directly or i need to arrive in toronto because i provided the letter of invitation of my friend residing in toronto ?

As long as your visa is still valid you can arrive into any airport in Canada. You will still be subject to assessment by CBSA regardless and probably be asked purpose/ length of trip, maybe funding of trip and so on.

However with CBSA advice is always to only answer questions asked and not to volunteer information. So no need to volunteer your injury story or change of destination unless asked.

thankyou for your info , My visa valid and my flights are confirmed. I will carry my proof of funds as well . I was worried if they deny entry if you change your destination W.R.T what i had declared in my visa application.
I shouldnt be worried right ?
