I'm from Argentina. I submitted the online forms on 4/9, biometrics on 4/23, and I expect to travel to Canada on 5/3. I'm thinking I'm not going to have the visa approved and stamped before traveling. Do you recommend to change my travel schedule? I was going to travel with my wife (who has canada visa already) for her sales convention in Montreal. But everybody keep telling me I'm not going to make it. You cannot expedite the process. You applied very close to your travel date, and while the estimated average time for visa processing is short, yours may be taking longer to process.
No one here can tell you if you will receive it on time. If you can re-arrange your travel easily, then I would be ready to re-arrange if you do not receive your passport back in the next few days.
