Hi
My wife and kids recently got multiple visitor visa valid for long enough time, however they are not able to come this year and may visit next year due to some personal reasons.
So my question is, will this be a problem when they visit next year having said their visitor visa was approved this year.
And also, would this be a problem when I will apply for my citizenship as I am their sponsor in case if they visit later or never visit.
Thanks in advance.

Regardless they visit or not visit, it would not be a problem when you apply for your citizenship.

I think as long as you use it once before it expires, it's good. Just note that this is just based on experience and feedback from others.

Thank you. What if We are never able to be use it as my daughter visa will expire in year and half but my wife have it for long time.
Also, would that be an issue in my citizenship application or their any visa applications.
Thank you once again.

The reason I said that is we have a friend who applied for a US visa maybe 20 years ago and she didn't use it. I don't have other info aside from that. Although a post in Quora site asked this same question of unused visa and majority of the answers say it won't have an effect. Some answers actually said it's a positive thing since a Visa gives someone access to a country and he has a chance to abuse it (eg. overstay) and you didn't take that chance by not using the visa.

So i'm a little confused on the effects on ununsed visa on renewal. :)
