Visitor visa still processing

Hi,

I have applied for visitor visa on 22nd March through offline. According to CIC they have received my application on 23rd March. Since then there's no update to my file, I linked it to online to get instant update. Its still showing processing or reviewing.But according to CIC the total processing time for my country is 15 days,today it is almost 20 days. I have already booked my flight ticket for 26th April.Could someone help me on this?

Nobody here has any influence on Canada immigration processing visa applications so am afraid you will just have to be patient waiting for a decision. In hindsight most people would generally advise to never buy a ticket before getting any approved visa unless it is either a refundable or changeable ticket.

Processing times are estimates and best case depending on volumes being processed

Thanks for your reply. I raised the question to see any recent similar case.Also I know it's advisable not to book flight ticket before visa confirmation, but booking a return flight also ensure certain visa approval steps. Anyway, I applied 35 days before my boarding, hopefully it will get processed before that.

I am waiting to hear as well, applied online on March 18th..
