Visitor visa: Purpose of Travel

During the visitor visa application for my mom, they requested for the purpose of travel. Which document do you guys recommend to submit? We haven't booked airline yet because the travel date is not fixed yet.

You must submit proof that you are coming to Canada for a temporary visit.
Examples of what you can provide as proof:
A scanned copy of:

• Your flight ticket departing Canada,
• Your travel itinerary (e.g. places you will visit or stay, such as hotel booking),
• Proof of a medical appointment.

Most people submit a very detailed itinerary with places you will visit, costs, and print-outs from a travel website showing availability of flights and prices. You should not buy a ticket before you have a visa.

So could I create our own travel itinerary without booking a ticket for the place first? For example:
Date 1: visit Toronto, place A, cost XXX
Date 2: visit Toronto, place B, cost XXY
Date 3: visit Toronto, place C, cost XXZ

Yes, that's what a detailed travel itinerary is. If you do a search (it's not hard, give it a try) you'll find plenty of examples here.

No need to include costs but a somewhat detailed daily itinerary should be included.
