Visitor Visa or Open work permit

Hi All,

My wife is working in Canada under closed work permit.

I am not sure what should I apply a visitor Visa or Work permit. Considering current timelines for both which one is the better option.

I am currently working in India in IT sector.

If your wife is in Canada on a work permit then you should be applying for an open work permit. Officers will not really believe that you are just coming to visit unless you can prove strong ties, funds, travel history, length of visit, essential reason to visit etc. for a visitor visa.
