My wife started her PR processing back in October, moved to Canada from the States in early January (dual intent). She already got her Passport Request, which we sent. However, Corona hit almost right away and we haven't heard back since. Her visitor status expires mid July and we sent in the extension request. However, the wait time is supposedly 135 days now. What are some options for my wife if her visa expires before extension is processed?

Thank you!

her visitor record expiration? if yes, ask for an extension
her visa/counterfoil expiration on passport? if yes, no problem

It is the visitor record expiration. We did ask for one, but we found out that the processing time for the Visitor record takes 135 days and it expires in just over a month.

she is under implied status, so
30 days before her new record expiration (under implied status), ask for a new extension
