Hello,

I want to apply visitor visa to visit me in Alberta Canada for my sister and mother from India.

1) Should they apply via paper or online ??
2) What are chances to get successful visa ?
3) What I can provide as supporting documents to support their application ?
4) I want to visit them in month of MAY/JUNE 2015. Which time can be best to apply ?
5) How long visa can be granted ?

Thanks,
Raj

Hi,

1. Check this link: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/trv-apply_demande-vrt.aspx?lang=eng&_ga=1.261613902.290034985.1420824675

2. Their chances for getting TRVs depends on their documentation and evidence, and their ties to India. You can go through this forum to get an idea how to demonstrate strong ties to home country, etc

3. As their host, you can provide: Invitation Letter, your status in Canada, T4, NOA, employment letter, bank statements, etc (whichever documents are applicable)

4. The earliest one can apply should NOT be more than six months from the planned entry date. Hence, you can apply accordingly

5. The TRV duration will depend on the documentation they submit and the balance of probabilities as assessed by the visa officer. They should prove that they are only visiting for 2-3 weeks (ideally) without any intention to reside for longer duration nor to immigrate to Canada

All the best :)
