Visitor Visa for parents, while sponsorship is in progress (India)

Hi all,
I have applied for my parents sponsorship about 4.5 years ago and now they sent some forms saying: "We are now ready to begin processing your sponsorship application and require additional information"
Need to submit all this by Feb end.
My question is: My parents have to come to Canada in April for my brothers wedding, so will be applying for a visitors visa, will this sponsorship application give us any trouble? and what is the best way to do this?

They should apply for Super Visa, if they meet the requirements. Granting a usual visitor visa depends on the visa section's decision because your parents should prove their intention to return within the allowed period of visit.
