What is the function? Are you a keynote? How long is your visit? When you say funding everything, does this include airfare, accommodations, travel insurance, food, etc? You still want to show that you can afford to visit so depends on how long the trip is and you want to show a stable balance over a 4-6 month period.

They would not have paid for all that yet until I get the visa. Which is not certain of yet. And is that 3000cad?

So it is not certain that they will pay all the costs? You then need to show the funds because it is not guaranteed. $3k CDN but that doesn’t include airfare/health insurance. So you will want more since airfare is not confirmed. For this conference, you need to show that there are no other events like it and that attending will advance your career/business/education. If you are a keynote or speaker, the letter of invitation needs to include it.

Actually it's my father and yes he's already set up to do all that, just need to get approved

Sounds like it may actually be the son/daughter who is trying to travel to Canada. Depending on your age you really should be able to show your own funds. What event are you coming for? What family do you have in your home country and what family do you have in Canada? Are you employed in your home country? Do you have any savings?
