Visitor visa extension spouse sponsorship

Hi. I came with a visitor visa on December 8th. I got married on February and we are planning on applying to the PR in May. So I guess I have to apply now to extend my visitor visa to have a valid status while they are processing my PR and OWP application. When applying to my extension, what should I put on purpose of my visit? PR application??? Any recommendations?

About the process
If you want to extend your stay in Canada as a visitor (stay in Canada longer), you need to apply beforeyour current status expires.

If we approve your application to extend your stay in Canada, we’ll give you a visitor record.

A visitor record:

• is a document that says how long you can stay in Canada
• includes an expiry date
  • that’s the date that you must leave Canada by

You will be given a date that you must leave by,usually 6 months. Sponsorship takes 12 months. Your trv will expire before the application is completed. You should look into this more before trying to apply for inland sponsorship.
