Hi All,

I just got a refusal letter from CIC for my mother-in-law's extension application. It was actually an omission on my own part. I didn't read carefully that she must show all stamps on her passport - I only submitted the data page of her passport and her temporary visa which was obtained when she first came (though I expected that they have the record of when she entered Canada on their system).

Now that we have been advised to apply for restoration of status, in a bid to avoid paying $200 application fees for restoration visa, I was wondering if we can simply write them and supply the page showing the date she entered Canada. Any advise from the house? Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks for your prompt response!

The extension process is already closed and you do no longer qualify for extension submission.

Thanks Jalex23. If I may ask, are you talking from experience?

I do not give personal details. Sorry.

Thanks again. I wasn't actually asking for personal details - just a Yes or No answer to inform my decision.
Thanks for your response once again!

Those are personal details... small but personal nonetheless.

Happy to help :)
