Visitor Visa Extension decision after I send the application Common Law.

I came back to Canada and the officer put a stamp in the passport with a date. So my Visitor visa would expire on the 25th of march 2016.
So I did the online application for extension the visitor visa (30days before expire). So I know I will be implied status.

But on one Form IMM I had to write my last entry and status in Canada (also until when the visitor Visa ends).

My question is:
If I don't get and answer from CIC before I send my application Common Law to them. Then the date in the Form will be wrong? or it is doesn't matter if things change after?

Or should I wait for the Answer about the Visitor Extension?

Or write in a front letter information (which I would send with the common law application) about that?

They would know if my status change? so I don't need to inform them after I send the application?

Well I hope you get my question :)))))))
thanks!
ALL of you!

you can wait for your visitor visa then send your app.
but don't think it would matter.

you can put the date of your last entry to Canada and expired date (which is 25th, march, 2016)

if you are bit worried, then you can hand in photocopy of proof of your visa extension.
but as long as you maintain legal status in Canada, it would not be problem.

thanks floomy!
good idea to put a copy of the visa extension in the application!

I might wait until the 25th :) maybe it will be approved by then!
medical is on the 23th anyway :)

byeeeeeeeeeee

or any more concern from other her in the forum?
:)

It won't matter if your extension is granted by the time they get your application. The only information, if I remember correctly, they want is your CURRENT status, and your last date of entry. If you sign your forms and you are still a legal visitor, then there is no problem.

I was in the same situation as you. My 6 moths in Canada were due in Dec 15th', I applied for extension on Nov.15th' and applied for PR though Family Sponsorship Common-Law on Dec 17th'. At the time I applied for the PR I had no answer back from my visa extension application, I only got an answer mid March (implied status till then). So in my forms I filled out the original dates, not including the extension (as it wasn't approved yet).
My application is going according to regular timeline and haven't heard anything about my date being wrong.
I sugest, if your application is ready to send, don't wait for an answer from your extension cuz it might take a few months. In my opinion/experience the original date is fine but if you have doubts I suggests still filling out the original dates and maybe put a note that you applied for extension.
Best of luck!
