Hi there,
I have one question.
My daughter came to canada in September 2011 as a visitor to met her boyfriend.
They got married in Jan. 2012 and we sent the sponsorship application/PR application away in June 25 2012.
The sponsorship was done in Sept. 2011 and the PR application went to Process center in Vienna in Nov. 2011.
We got the information the her application is in process and we got also the information that she should get the result pretty soon.

We applied for a 1 year visa what is going to expire in March. So we applied for an extention of that visa.
but we haven`t heard anything back yet.

Does my daughter have to leave eventhough the application documents are still in process if we don`t get the extention for her visa in time?

Would be nice if somebody could help us out here,

as long as you filed for the extension of her visa BEFORE it expires, she is under "implied status" until she receives the answer on the extension of her visa. So no need to leave. She will need to leave if her extension is refused, but as long as she doesn't have the answer, she can stay in Canada.
Good luck,
Sweden
