My husband has applied for his visitor visa on 01.09.2018 and our flight was booked for 06.10.2018 given that the processing time on the CIC website was 28 days. It has been over a month and the status of his application is not been updated. We contacted them and all they keep saying is the application is under active review but no update as of yet. We both have been forced to cancel our flights as we are not sure when we going to get an update. We were so excited see our families and attend nephews birthday party and done all the preparation in advance as we were confident that the embassy will make every effort to make a decision within 28 days. We were hoping that they will make the relevant step in order to process the application on time.We were happy to give them anything they need in order to speed up the process. It seems like they don't take any consequences to the visitor in consideration at all. Really very disappointed and it would have been so much better if the immigration can advise the visitors to maybe apply months in advance rather than put 28 days and not meet it.
