Can someone help me please...

received message from cic that we need to provide a copy of my passport with my electronic application.

Date:

You are expected to provide a COPY of your passport with your electronic application. If CIC needs your physical
passport, CIC will request that you submit it to our office. CIC will also contact you if we require additional information,
documents or an interview. For general guidance on what to expect, you can visit
or consult the “What Happens Next” section of the instruction guide
associated with the application form you.
Please do not send to CIC any documentation related to this online application by mail, courier or fax. Any mail received,other than what is received in your MyCIC account, will NOT be considered.


MEANING i will attached again the scan copy opf my passport electronically, right?
i open my Mycic online and try to look where to upload and end up cant find.

please help

i actualy attached the scanned passport before but i dont understsnd why i need to attach again...

i am trying to upload again in upload doc in mycic but the button for updated file is not there

i think you are referring to the "Submission Confirmation letter" which is usually received (within 24 hrs) once you submit an application online. IF you have received a Submission Confirmation letter then CIC is not requesting any thing from you right now.
the paragraph you have quoted above must be under the title "When will CIC contact me? "
So cic is just giving you a guideline that "as you must had submitted your passport copy with this electronic application..still cic may request your original passport and If CIC needs your physical passport, CIC will request that you submit it to our office....etc etc


So its just generic acknowledgement letter which almost every applicant receive upon submitting an application online through MyCIC. So you have todo nothing its just your receipt having your application number on it.
