Visitor visa (business) application processing time (Netherlands)

I hold an Indian passport, presently living in Netherlands.
I applied online for visitor visa (business) on 22-Mar, I need to travel on 09-Apr. During application it was indicated process time is estimated 10 days.
8 working days passed, I have not received request for passport for visa stamping. No update in CIC, other than my application is still open.
I need to courier the passport from Netherlands to Austria (Vienna) for stamping (no typing error!) and then get it back.
Is it a 'finger crossed' or 'no hope' situation?

It's "fingers crossed". The processing times are estimates only and it's quite possible processing could take significantly longer. It's also possible you may be approved in time.

For the visa stamping on passport, is it possible to visit the embassy in-person? Provide the passport, get it stamped, collect and come back on same day?
