Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello,

My husband lives in US while I reside in Canada. He had a Canadian visitor visa and is on H1B status in US. His visitor visa is expiring and we are still waiting for his police clearance from FBI in order to file for his application for PR. We want to apply for another visitor visa so he can come visit me while his application is in process. Is it advisable to get the visitor visa before or after we file for the PR ? We do not want a rejection as that may affect the application....But if we file right now, it still asks whether he is married or not, and I believe if he gives my details as his spouse they may reject his temporary visa on the basis of him never returning back ?
But I have heard and read on this forum, that even if you file for it while your PR application is in process, they still might reject it.
Please advise!

I have been fumbling over the same thing you have and I am not sure either. Here is a useful post of a case that worked.

It looks like you will need solid proof for a return home regardless of the case, in the case of the PR being denied. This is the only real hard part unless you can't the funds to show them for the stay in Canada.

I had similar concerns with you before. But it turns out for me that I did get multiple visiting visa twice, the first was before filing PR application and the second was after it. So I guess that as long as your husband has strong proof that he will come back after visiting you, it should be fine. He has job in US, this should be considered as a strong sign. I also included a confirmation letter from my employer and a letter from my husband who is in Canada.

Good luck!
