Hi All,

I would appreciate some advive as I am struggling to navigate the Service Canada website. I applied for a Bridging visa which got rejected as my PR application was not submitted. This was the end of August. I had to resit my Celpip exam in the meantime to get enough points and now I am waiting for my points to decrease to.apply for residency. I want to apply for a visitor record so I can stay longer in Canada.I .I have found the form I need to fill out but I am wondering if I need to provide proof of a return flight or can I write a letter to explain I am planning on leaving in February but have no set date. Can proof of funds to both live and exit the country be enough for the visitor record to be approved? Also how do I submit proof of funds , letters of explanation onto my Service Canada profile?Any help is appreciated.

Was your BOWP rejected or refused? What date did they give for the end of your status?

You apply through IRCC, not Service Canada.

It was rejected as I didn't have my application for PR.August 29 wasbtge date it got rejected.Yes, my mistake I meant IRCC

I was planning on leaving the country within the 90 days but now I have decided to stay longer. Ok that is great.I have enough proof of funds to show I can support myslef here and am planning on leaving Canada in Feb 2020

The 90 day period given to apply for Restoration does NOT grant status. It is not permission to stay. Understand that you are currently in Canada illegally and have been since August.

Do you think waiting this long to restore my status could affect my PR application?

No. It may affect chances of the actual Restoration app being approved.

Oh no, I did not realise this. I'm glad I know now.I will restore my status and hope I can get approved as a visitor.Thank you for your help
