Hello Everyone,
My in laws came to Canada on May 5th 2022 and were suppose to leave on Nov 4 2022. We went to US on June 4th and did a re entry on June 5th. I applied for visitor record extension on Oct 14th. They travelled back to India on Nov 22 instead of Nov 4th. I see no updates on visitor record extension application. They are planning to travel to Canada again in April 2023. If the visitor record extension application is not processed or approved by April 2023, what will happen? Is there any issues here?? Any comments or inputs will be helpful.

All they need to tell the officer at entry that They made an exit during Implied status while the extension application was still in process.

So its all fine and the extension application would ne null and void. The new entry in April would be considered as fresh with 6 month expiry by default unless stamped differently by immigration officials.

Hi guys,

my wife recently got her visitor visa (multi, 10yrs) and she will be coming to Canada in Feb 2023. She already has PR application in progress since March 2022 (medical completed August 2022). I am assuming CBSA agent would already know that my wife has a PR app in progress. Based on that, do you think my wife will get full 6 months of stay in Canada or border agent can reduce the time? Also, if my wife is asked how long she plans to stay, what should her response be? We are hoping she will get full 6 months and while her stay in Canada, we can ask IRCC to send next stage PR instructions for Canada. Kindly advise. Thank you.
