generally it is not recommended to book tickets in advance when you apply for a visit visa( there is no score points for having an advance ticket). if you have booked the ticket its all your choice. if you get approved before your flight dates your husband will be good to come with the same tickets otherwise he had to cancel or change his tickets.

I am assuming that he is from a visa exempt country or he already has a TRV? If so then you shouldnt have any problems with him visiting as long as he understands that he is just visiting you and doesnt mention words such as 'living in Canada' etc.

If he requires a visit visa and you havent applied yet then you will likely have difficulty getting a TRV with a PR app submitted as he will have to prove substantial ties to his home country, job, house etc as they will feel he is a risk of staying on in Canada.

Sorry for the confusion.

My husband is the canadian citizen (Sponsor) and I am the one being sponsored. To clear my question is it okay for him to visit me because we are submitting our application on feb 2015 for spousal application. His ticket is booked for April of 2015. Im just worried that it might affect our application since he will be staying with me for 18days. Is it okay for the sponsor to visit the one being sponsored even if the application is in procesS?

His visits will make your case stronger....
The more frequent the visits the better....
Where did you got married ? What about the marriage certificate
Do you have pictures of the wedding and people that attended ?
Is your marriage registered in Philippines ?
Is your passport as married person or still as single person ?
you need to remember that your file need to match your travel document.

Do you have pictures of the places that you visited together ?
Hotel bills, etc.
Have you prepare a story about how you met and how did you end up getting married ?
Did he include his side of your love story ?

Do you have an explanation about each picture that you are including in your application ?

Remember that too much information is never too much....

I am a Canadian husband and my application is taking time,
You can expect the same, as it seems to me that they make us wait a little bit more than
others.

Yes we have those. But the only attendant on his side is his best friend cause he has issues with his family which he included in the letter.

Quick question here, ill be in Calgary to visit my partner next month for a week. When they scan my passport are they able to see I put in a PR application even though I havent gotten AOR/SA yet. I submitted via outland in January.

Most Likely.

I suppose it depends whether they have got around to opening it yet, so there is a possibility given you only submitted a month ago that they haven't. I would take along payment receipts etc as proof of submission just in case they ask any questions.
