Hi all. I’m visiting my boyfriend for the holiday on November 21 and will be flying back home to US in January 24. I understand I do not need a visa only my passport. Since I’m staying for 2 months, will I have to have an outstanding amount of CAD? I’ll be staying in my boyfriend’s parents home, they will provide food, and all. So I will just have money basically for spending on unnecessary things. I understand border agents might be suspicious if I lack funds for a 2 month stay, but I do have a return flight home, shelter, accommodations, food, etc. and I go back to school in February. Also I do have a job at the moment but it’s only/seasonal temporary. It’s my first time flying abroad and being questioned by border agents so I just want to be prepared. Will they ask for my bf’s contact info? All advice is welcomed :)

Will all depend on the border agent. You should just be honest. Yes they could ask to speak to your bf or your bf’s parents to confirm that they are willing to host you and cover most of your costs. Could also ask you how much savings you have.

He thought he would write a letter of invitation to state that he would support me with his information and parents information, just in case. Would that help?
