Background: I'm coming up from the USA. My wife and I got married last year and she's bringing me up on a family class sponsorship. We'll be filing the application soon but in the mean time we're figuring out our options for having me come up north to visit while the processing is in progress.
One complicating factor is my work as a freelance artist. Say I make X amount of money per month (in US dollars, under my US business account.) If I visit my partner in Canada for multiple months, is it okay to still be operating my US-based business via telepresence during the visit? If I'm not actually working, is it okay to let my business accumulate funds while I'm in Canada if i avoid withdrawing them until I'm in the US?
