check processing time here:

Since your situation involves a medical reason and childcare support, you should include strong supporting documents:
#Your wife’s medical reports and surgery details.
#Proof that she will need help caring for your baby.
#Your ties to Nigeria (job, property, family, etc.) to show you will return.
#A clear explanation letter about your intention to come only temporarily.
Even with this, approval is still uncertain, but the more evidence you provide, the stronger your case. While waiting for PR, applying for a visitor visa is possible, but IRCC will check carefully to ensure you really plan to leave after your visit.

Thank you.
Another situation I want to get cleared. My background check has been displaying NOT Applicable for 9months now. Should i be worried and If the processing time is 12month as said on their website for Nigeria Applicant. Why is the BG check still in N/A and my eligibility not started. Just confused and worried.

What is your wife’s status in Canada? Have you applied for spousal sponsorship. A breast reduction is not really considered a medical emergency. Does she actually have a scheduled surgery date? Does she have any family in Canada?

She's on PR.
Yes, I did applied for PR November, 2024 applicant. She has no family in canada, just her and our 17months baby. No schedule yet, but the doctor suggested it due.
