It depends what passport you hold. If you required a visa to enter the US before you became a PR, then you still require one now.

I guess there are no privileges for canadian PR to enter US. You need to have canadian citizenship for that.

There still is, kind of. It is usually much easier to be granted a US non-immigrant visa when you are already a Canadian PR. Not always (I've read of one denial on this forum), but in most cases.

I believe US visas were waived for Canadian PRs before, but the visa requirement was reinstated for non-visa-exempt passports, so now a Canadian PR with a passport from a non-visa-exempt country will still have to apply for a US visa for formality's sake.

Oh ok. Are you talking about visitor visa (B1/B2) or any other non-immigration visa?

Yes, just B1/B2, I should have specified, as that's not the case for work or student visas. :)

Yes. You do require a US non-immigrant visa for tourism purposes if you are a Canadian PR.
