Hi,
My parents are visiting Canada from India from May 2020 till July 2020 and their passport expires in Oct 2020. As evident from the dates, the passport expires within 3 months after their expected date of return to India. Is there a condition about the time period left on the passport validity after one returns from Canada?

Could someone please guide me with any foreseeable issues w.r.t above scenario?

P.S My parents are Indian citizens and do not have a Canadian PR.

Thanks in advance.

No, there's no condition that the passport needs to be valid for a certain period of time for entry to Canada. They just need a valid TRV and a valid passport.

Do they already have a visa? If not, they will only be issued a visa till passport expiry date. If you're going to apply for their visas, you should wait till Oct '19, renew both passports, and then apply to get the full 10 year multiple entry visa.

Many thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. Yes they already have the visitor visa.
