Visiting India and coming back

Hi guys,
I am on spousal open work permit and I want to visit India which is my home country, can you please tell what do I need to do for that, I mean which visa or eTA i need, please post the link also,

Well obviously you need a valid TRV to return to Canada, did you not have one when you arrived ?

ETAs are for visa exempt passport holders only

if you have a valid canadian TRV, you can come back or else apply for a new TRV to re-enter Canada. To enter India, you don’t need a visa.
