I just want to ask, as a British citizen, I was in Canada for one and half years, which I applied for work permit for one year, when I went to renew I was denied and I have moved back to UK.
But I want to come next year for just 4 days to get married to my fiance. Will I be allowed entry. Pls anyone with advice.

Have you overstayed? When you say you were in Canada for one and a half years, did you overstay by six months?

No I never over stayed, the work permit is from June 2018 to 2019, and my stay was same too. But when I went to renew my work permit and stay during the interview I was denied, (I guess I just met a wrong guy, that's in bad mood).

If your work permit was from June 2018 to 2019, how were you in Canada for one and a half years?

Then you didn't overstay, provided that you left by the time they told you to. You shouldn't have any issues.

You could apply for an eTA just to see if there are.

Yes I have applied for ETA, and as I was waiting I just want to throw the question out there so I don't want to get to their point of entry and they will tell me something else.
Tnx so much for
