My husband (from England) and I applied for sponsorship around six months ago and we haven't seen eachother since due to some problems on his end which are making it next to impossible for him to come over when we would have hoped. What we were wondering was would it be possible for me to visit him, or would that hinder the application process?

It would just be for a short 2-3 week visit because my job probably wouldn't allow anymore holiday time then that. I've already been approved for sponsorship as well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

You can visit him and it would not affect your application...

If the sponsor is a Canadian citizen, he or she can leave Canada and visit the applicant as often and for as long as they want. It won't hurt the application process.
A sponsor who is a PR must stay in Canada during the sponsorship process. However, a short trip out to visit will be OK; just make sure someone can get your mail and tell you right away if CIC has contacted you.
Visits to see your spouse are good for the application - it is extra evidence that the marriage is genuine. So keep all evidence of your trip - plane tickets, boarding passes, receipts for activities, photos, etc. Your husband can show them to the visa officer at the interview, if there is one. The visa officer will want to see proof of continuing contact at the interview.
