Visit visa while waiting PR

Hello guys,

I have applied for a sponsorship PR on July 2017, I am still waiting the background check from November last year, my kids and wife are Canadian citizens, we are planning to go to Canada before the schools start.
Is it possible to request a visit visa to move to Canada before the school, while waiting for the PR?
we don't have any relatives living in Canada now, and my family can't move without me to Canada, to get the invitation.

If your wife and kids are Canadian citizens.....they only need their Canadian passport and do not need a visa to come to Canada.

If you are a citizen of a country that require visitor visa to enter Canada, you will have to apply for a visa.

In two months.....your sponsorship PR application will hit the 12 months processing time (i.e., July 2018).....finish may not be too far away.

Thanks for the reply, I checked how to apply for visitor visa, it required that my wife invite me, but my wife is with me and she can't travel without me.
Regarding my PR, my file has been transferred to London from last November, and no any update from that time, I don't know what it happening.
