Hey,

I have applied for the TRV to Canada on June 30th 2009 in Washington DC. I am married to a Canadian PR, who has recently moved from US to Canada. I am still in US on student visa.

I am in process of gathering documnets to send him for family class sponsorship. In mean while, I have my summer vactions, so want to visit him.

The problem, is the visa officer asked me couple of questions, I was able to answer her all questions. At the end, she kept my passport (Pakistani Citizen) and said I will get it back after 2 weeks. She didnt say that I have been granted visa. :(

I am really worried, what does this mean?I am trying to be optimistic but.....................

Suggestions

Hello, I think the fact that they asked for your passport is a positive sign. I once applied for TRV in Washington DC and that was the same procedure that they did, i.e. they got my passport. Only that a couple of years ago, I had to come back for my passport after a shorter wait compared to your 2 weeks.

Do not worry. But please give us an update once you receive back your passport with TRV.

She kept your passport it means you will be granted a Visa.

Do not worry you will receive in 2 weeks time or maybe early.

Thanks for replying me,

I will surely post the progress of my case, as soon as I get to know about it.

Kind Regards
Sarwat
