Hey guys,

Asking on behalf of a friend. She applied for visitors visa for her parents last year, June 2021, but never received any confirmation or updates. A few friends we know, who were in the same boat, started a new application and it was approved within a month and had their parents visit them. Seeing this, my friend started a new application, in March 2022, and once again she hasn't received any updates or confirmation. What are her options now? She has already spent on 2 applications and doesn't want to spend more for the third time. Is there any contact center she can call directly to get an answer?

Just start a new application on the new portal.. anyone with applications prior to September 2021 in system, was advised to reapply on new portal

What are her options now? Sadly no options than to wait. Some people get approved in a week and some take 6 months. It is all very random.
