Visit visa has been revoked

Hello Guys,

My cousin was going to travel from India to Canada last week but at the airport, he was told that his visa had been revoked. He attempted two times but at the ticket counter, he was told this matter and he was not able to travel to Canada.

I was wondering if any of you had these same experiences? Never received any update from IRCC regarding this matter. I just raised the webform to IRCC now.

Normally this happens in circumstances where IRCC finds information after the visa has been approved which is serious enough to make them cancel the visa. Examples can include failing to declare a past visa refusal or other misrepresentations. Impossible for any of us to say what might be the issue in your cousin's case. He should order his GCMS notes.

May be due to the fact that it appears that another family claimed asylum. Canada is trying to do a better job making sure visitors are genuine visitors due to our asylum numbers but also in response to pressure from the US due to a significant increase in smuggling numbers from Canada to the US.
