Visit Visa and Immigration process, any contradictions ?

Hello dear all,

I just wanted to know that if I apply for a visit visa now and secure it, then later if I apply for immigration, would these somehow contradict each other or my trip to canada for vacations, if I go after I have applied for immigration?
