Visa with conditional offer of admission

Hi friends,

I got an conditional admission letter with condition "
Proof of successful completion of RRU Continuing Studies’ Academic Writing and Critical Thinking (AWCT)
course through submission of final AWCT grade confirmation letter"

This is an online course which will take min 8 weeks and will start only in Jan,

Should I apply for student permit/visa- given that i have gic, medicals and all other documents ready.
