just closing the loop for future PPRs who fall in this situation, I got an update from London VO (as response to my email to them in this context and asked if i can post everything instead of waiting for technical ticket to be addressed).

The mail states,
" We can confirm that the required documents may be posted together with the photographs to the address below...."

So now i plan to add the print out of the mail to the documents, and skip doing a CSE.

Are you sure there is nowhere to upload your photocopy under 'View submitted application'? If not then you should probably contact your visa office or CIC.
