Out of curiosity what are the actual stages of the visa process?

Ours is currently; sent it - got letter approving sponsor & stating it had been forwarded - got letter from London asking for a psych review

Should we have recieved AOR or was the request meant to have doubled up as this? I was just wondering if someone could provide the stages of a case not requiring extras etc (sorry if this has been asked before)

We never got an AOR from London, our first contact from them was the PPR, so I'm guessing that if they've contacted you, you can just take that as AOR. Is there a client ID number on the letter?

What documents were returned to you.And after your phyc test they can still request an interview unless it is waived. Then they will say medicals recieved decision made then you need to wait till they send mail.in the mail it will tell you if anything is further needed or request your passport but there will be nothing else till after the test.

Just to let you know I think London is a bit hit and miss as far as updates. My hubs' e-cas never said 'medicals received' etc. It still said 'in process' even after he had his passport back with his visa! lol!!

They also never returned any of our documents (either that or someone hijacked our post and is possession of a bunch of photos of me and mr. cowtown?! hahaha!)

I hope you hear from them soon!
:)

Cowtown - Yes it did have my client ID in it, so i had taken it as AOR but just wondered what else was involved - apparently not much unless i get an interview req i guess lol

Iarblue - Photos and cards were returned (i hear - they sent them to my old address and my mother has them!) I did the test before i came to 'visit' in canada, so a few months ago now. But thanks for the info :)
