Hi,

I had applied for a visitor's visa on 05/15/2019 to visit my sister who is a permanent resident in Canada, along with my Father from India. My father got his visa for 10 years while mine got rejected. The reasons cited were:

Grounds for refusal:

· I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

· I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

Now I had submitted my salary slips of my current company, my ITR for 3 years, bank statement for 6 months, family details, invitation letter from sister, her appointment letter and her canadian passport. Since my father got his visa, I am worried because he is 75 years of age and he is definitely not in a position to travel alone. I have spoken to my manager and have asked permission to stay for 1 month in Canada. we both intend to come back to India after staying for a month, as both of us have commitments. I am wondering what didnt suffice for my visa approval. Please help before I reapply again.

P.S.: My passport had expired this year and I have renewed it. Hence the new passport doesnt reflect the fact that i have travelled to Kuwait earlier as well. Can i reapply with that information? I also have a house in my name. Do I need to show that information?

If you didn't provide evidence of your assets back home, that didn't help.

Travel to Kuwait doesn't help a Canadian visa application.

Your request to travel to visit your sister, with your father already having a visa, especially for a month, is not a promising application. The visa officer will be very concerned that you will overstay, and that you and your sister will apply for humanitarian and compassionate grounds for your father to stay in Canada.

If you re-apply, you must show assets in India, along with solid reasons why you will return. Document your "commitments" that you say you have.

Thank you for answering.
I have a job and that is my major commitment. I cant take leave more than a month. Do i need to get an application signed from my manager to signify my leave period? will that help?
I can show my property back here. Do i also show valuables such as car?
