Hello,

I and my wife applied for the Canadian visitor visa and it got refused.

1) My wife: INDIAN passport. Was the primary applicant. Has been to the US and is a CAN+ candidate.
2) Me: Nepal passport and no have other country's visa. Resident in India.

The visa application site only asked for :
1) 5257 (for both of us)
2) travel history (wife)
3) Family details (both of us)
4) Passport (both of us)
5) Marriage certificate

No financial details were asked of. Then it got refused for both of us.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR,
• based on your travel history.
• based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• based on the purpose of your visit.
• based on your personal assets and financial status.

I wonder how did the embassy decide our financial status and personal assets without even asking for it.

So I wish to know, what different could we do in the re-application?

1) I and my wife should apply separately so that they give us an opportunity to submit all the documents?
2) I didn't fill my wife's travel history in a given format and was just filled in a word document. Is that fine?

My purpose of the visit is a cruise to Alaska for 7 days.

Please guide.

Thank you.

There are a number of additional documents you need to submit when you reapply. IRCC will not ask for them later - they will make a decision based on what you have submitted. Here's whatyou need to add:

- Proof of funds (e.g. bank account statement)
- Proof of employment India (ideally for both you and your wife) which can include a letter from your employer (with job title, salary and how long you have been working for them) and also proof of your salary being paid, also ideally your employer should acknowledge that you have an approved vacation and how long you are expected to be away
- Proof of property ownership in India
- Proof of any othes ties to India
- Proof that you are booked on the cruise if you have already paid

Ok.
*Will there be an option to upload these documents?
*Should I still apply together or individually?
