Hello all,

Just to share my experience I thought to post that I received my passport back from CIC Detroit yesterday!

I'm very happy and nervous... my timelines are below. FYI - this process took longer than average - almost two years, but I used a lawyer, was patient and it paid off. I'm happy to share my experiences with this fantastic forum.

I plan to land in September (my visa expires in October 2010) in Ontario, driving my stuff across the border from the US.

Good luck to all!

I am very :) for you. May God bless you in this new phase in your life.

Sometimes, I think about the leght of this process but in reality it´s not a big deal. WE HAVE A WHOLE LIFE TO LIVE HOPEFULLY.

20 years ago, I had the opportunity to apply under one of the programs Canada had, but decided not to. 15 months ago, I decided to apply and really applied just few months ago. HERE I AM, WAITING FOR THE DOOR TO OPEN...

Hey there! My E-CASE status went from "IN PROCESS" to "DECISION MADE" a week after PPR... if you are in PPR now and your status changed - I am sure it's a great sign that the process is moving... Also, in my case, my medicals were completed in OCT 09 and then it took a looong time for PPR (like earlier this month of April). When PPR came though, the process sped up. I suspect that it took so long for me because I applied through Buffalo, a notoriously slow office, before my case got moved to Detroit. I'm sure your situation will move faster than mine! Good luck friend.
