VISA Process

Hi Dear. I applied for Canada Visa to attend a conference. Unfortunately Conference date is passes and visa is still in process. I applied visa on 7th July 2018 and gave biometrics on 10th July 2018. After that there was no update in application. Today at 17 Dec 2018 I got a letter about the validity of Biometrics for next 10 years but still there is no request for passport. Is there anyone who received letter like this? what does it mean? Is it a positive sign or a negative?

The biometrics validity letter does not indicate an approval or refusal. It just means your biometrics were received as part of your application + are valid for the next 10 years
