Visa process time

Hi,
I had submitted my passport for student visa on 17th Feb 2016 for non spp
Its almost 30th March and it is still in processing status
How long does it usually take to process non spp students visa.

As per the link mentioned it states 3 weeks.
Also when I submitted my passport they mentioned it would take around 15 working days..maybe a day or two more.
As per the calendar my 15th working day was 9th March 2016 and today is the 29th working day
I haven't received any clear response as to how many more days would they take.
Can you please help me

I didn't read that you already sent your passport, sorry.
But it's really strange, after sending your passport they should return it to you in less than one week.

It is better to get in touch with visa office.
They cannot hold your passport that long, something happened.

Thank you for your response.
However I have tried calling on the Canadian helpline number but did not get any proper response as to when the visa would be dispatched.
I also emailed Banglore immigration but the response wasnot as requested. They have mentioned that they are still processing.
Is there any point of contact to ask to expedite the process as I even need to book air tickets as well as need to make the hostel booking payment.
Your assistance will be appreciated.

But as they mentioned - "it would take around 15 working days..maybe a day or two more"...
I believe you should dig more about that, it's really strange that they're still with your passport.

Hi,

I have tried all possible methods to check if I can get an update on the status of my passport. But was not able to get any info.

Are there any possibility of getting the passport this week. Its almost 2 mths.

Can you please help

Dont worry. They are giving it in this week. I and many other on this forum applied arous 15-19feb. They have received their visas yesterday and i got my LOI today and will get the passport hopefully in 2 days. Keep checking you email. Hope for the best.

Are u guys applying for sept intake? I am pending the decision from the university still dont know if i can move the application for winter if this is the case
seems like the visa will take too long to process and i might not get it in time to start classes

If you wish to apply for September 2016 then you still have time..I think you can apply as late as mid/end of june

That would be awesome. The sad part about Carleton is that IF they'll have me I must take a month to send the original school transcripts and such to finalize the acceptance. (takes a month to send by post. i live far away). Still praying
