Hi all.

I had applied for the immigration visa on 24Mar2009. After that I submitted supporting documents and then after some time I was asked to submit my rights of landing fee and medical test results - which I did on 28Oct2009.

Now all of a sudden I got a call from my HR manager at work today and went up to the meeting room to find two officers from the Canadian High Commission there. They talked to me regarding my employment history and job responsibilites for a while - and then went away.

Now is this common for the Visa Office to verify employment status like that? Why would they do such a verification and what can be the possible outcomes in such cases? (Since I have already been asked to submit my medical tests people keep telling me that it is only a matter of time before I get the visa. However, just can't be too sure).

Hi
It is a standard procedure which is adopted randomly. You will be fine.

Tr. yesterday they came my office directly. how many people came to ur office? in my case one lady and one gents. tell me in brief.

Dear TR,

Please Share your experience as we are from All bangladesh.

what is your NOC

Looks like this may be strict with Singapore visa office, some problem might have been faced in past.

Anyone has similar case with Indian or US visa office?

Hi.

One lady and one gentleman visited my office. They talked briefly about what I did at my job.

My NOC is 0111.

I was asked to submit my medicals and right of landing fee around 23Oct2009. I sent both (medical report+fee) on 28th Oct, 2009.

Anybody have any idea where this might be going?

I suppose they too had a year ending target to meet for the number of personal visits to make in a year ! ;)
In that case they must have picked you up randomly .

Jokes apart, this is a serious thing .

1. Either more than 1 or 2 or more employees of the same firm applying to CIC from the same firm in a very short period. Raising questions about genuiness of the documents sent to VO.

or

2. Some serious mismatch in the information contained in the application related to work/travel and the actual documents submitted !

or

3. Some sort of profiling to pick out for personal visits, which would be inappropriate for me to say. No offence meant.

They would only visit you, if only your application had any possibility of obtaining .
So, dont worry.

In my experiences, any delay or query mostly is a good sign !

My application is in ‘received by visa O’ since Oct, 09 and recently I got a small update on my case.

Yesterday one immigration representative (from Singapore office) came at my office to verify my job responsibility. He came to my supervisor’s desk and also my desk and asked few questions on my job role and verified at my recent task.

I never saw anyone’s case to be verified this way.

He said that he is given 6 weeks time to report my case and after his report the visa office will start processing. Let’s see………
