1. BC visa issuance rate is high. But note one thing that there is no visa ration for provices issued by CIC. So if anyone give you any details it will be just his guess/experience. It won't be a fact.

2. CHC Islamabad is only responding to University applicants from Pakistan and the College students are still waiting for any response.

3. It is advised to take admission in a university instead of a college.
Apply ASAP.

For more details, see the links in my signature.

Everything is so slow these days from canada.
I filed an application on march 19, 2012 for fall.
No decision on my application status yet. Simon Fraser is my school.
I called them yesterday and they said that they were lagging behind as they had received a boatload of applications this session.
however, my application was with an admission coordinator let's hope they make a quick decision as i m running out of time for my visa and stuff.

As for the original question , well, it does not matter if you are admitted into a univ or college. Your financial and other factors play a key role in issuing or rejecting a visa. That's the pattern with all the embassies all over the world. Also, each case is a unique one.

you need to read previous threads from last year. people got visas from Pakistan by going to colleges.

your overall situation that is what matters like going for a diploma course after a degree ...or edu gap or enrolling into an obscure course which has no job opportunities back home etc

Above all, your luck! I know it sounds harsh but that's true. You can still be refused even if you are enrolled into a top univ.

No college applicant has got visa after the month of November 2011 :(. You can see that from this speadsheet http://bit.ly/JNFIoC

I agree with you that students have been getting visas from paksitan based on college LOA but things have changed now.

well, isnt ACCA being offered in pakistan itself? also, same member with different ids might be an issue at play here.

not enough data to draw a concrete conclusion based on a few applications.

1. ACCA was being offered here in Pakistan from last few years yet student were getting visas until November 2011, for the same course.
2. Same members with different ids might have been an issue at play last year where they would have showed more visa issuance rate (If you consider this record wrong then why would you consider the previous record correct? )
3. Why don't you add yourself to the sheet and make a more concrete example for yourself and others?
